Take it to a local exhaust shop and have them heat up the pipe and bend it down a lil bit, Thats what i had to do and it's work great so far.
How do you know its triggering your knock sensor?

I am thinking about getting the bump stop but I need to know where the thing attaches to the car. Is it to one of the subframe runners or do you just screw it through the floor board? Also, let us know when you find a solution to the problem. I just put kooks lt with ory and have a problem with the y-pipe hitting the medial subframe runner.

the bumpstop goes on a stud that holds the heat shield on the bottom of you rfloor it's a 10mm nut you take off right uner the drivers seat/floor area...very easy to install........I know it's triggering my knock sensor because it will sound like the rev limiter is going but i'am only at 3-4500 rpm's....
Having kooks headers and off road pipe installed now (car at shop now)
Guy at the shop said y-pipe is hitting also. He said he will add 3" flex pipe
3 places on y-pipe. ? Any body else here this.

I dunno about all that but when my ory was banging i took it too local exhaust shop and he heated it up under the ds floorboard and bent it down a lil bit and it went away. I mean iv heard it all as far as people going with new tranny mounts, motor mounts, bump stop hanger but all it took was about ten mins and a guy with a torch.
just my op. thou

I had the same problem until last weekend, I broke loose all the hardware that hold the entire system(except header/head bolts) and removed the bumpstop. Then I got a 2x4 piece of wood and wedge it between the y-pipe and floorboard. Finally I thighten all the bolts and installed the bumpstop and it took car of the y-pipe.
GOOD LUCK!!! IT WORKED FOR ME.... :yup:

Try removing the heat sheid where y-pipe hits.

got it fixed!!!!!! i jsut took the mufflex bump stop off the location they say to mount it (on a heat shield stud) and drilled a hole directly over the exhaust and re-mounted it....works great!
