Make sure you get the double roller timing chain, LS6 oil pump and some new lifters. Are you an auto or an MS6? If an M6 I'd get the 4.10 gears in there and if an A4 I'd get a 4000 or higher stall.
That cam puts down some crazy numbers!

PM me if you want to buy a new Rollermaster Double Roller timing chain, I bought it for this cam but it turns out this cam won't work with my heads and I won't need it.

that should make a nice car, the people running 10's with that cam have a lot of weight reduction as well... generally under or about 3000lbs... but that cam is definitly a beast. I dont see any reason why you coudlnt spray it, but i don't know how well it would react to it in comparison to like the MS3 which loves it or G5x4 which is supposedly built for spray (or so i was told).

I am condidering that cam myself, but (and ya i'm sure someone will flame for this) i've also been looking at the new cam "t-rex killer", it seems to be proving itself as a worth apponent to the trex, i just cant get ahold of the *exact* specs.

Hi Guys,

I am looking into the TREX. What else will I need?

-double roller timing chain
-LS6 oil pump
-new lifters

I have a M6 and 4.10's.

How much just in parts do you think a complete "TREX package" would run? Any recommendations for manufacturers as well as websites to purchase which have the best deals would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You don't need a Adjustable Double Roller Timing Chain unless your gonna advance the cam. A LS2 Timing chain and sprocket is all you need.

Double valve springs and hardened pushrods as well. I don't know if the lifters are as big of a problem as the pushrods but the pushrods and springs I know are a must for that cam.

titanium bases and retainers, pushrods...

shouldnt need lifters, unless you have over 90k on them...

good luck with the cam and i would suggest getting a tune done. Speed density is the way to go. if you dont do a speed density tune. look forward to spending MANY days getting it to idle properly based off your maf and O2 tables. I have the cam and Love it but for a daily driven car i wouldnt have it. Thankfully i only drive the car at the track and every couple weekends.

i would reccommend these for lifters.....i have them and LOVE them nice and quiet if you want more info on these lifters please send me a PM and ill send it to you.

these can be oicked up from http://www.sdparts.com/product/88958689/HPHydraulicRollerLifterSetforLSSeriesEngines.aspx

Figure on a new clutch as mine lasted less 2 months with my MS4.

How's that T Rex treating you? I ditched my H/C LS1 over the winter for a 408. For those of you running that cam with M6's....ditch the 4.10s for 4.30s...trust me. They may seem like steep gears, which they are..but those gears matched with that cam is lethal.

i had the trex in my old car and loved. dd the car with a pt4200 stall and an awesome tune. i had comp oe lifters, hardned pr, prc duals, ls2 chain, and ported ls6 pump. car full wieght went 11.3 cam only!
