I really dont street race at all....well...not much anyway....got the Shaner TB on and took the GTO for a spin.....now I'm at 450RWHP as she sits...and she is setup and runs low 11's as I've mentioned...so this is one bad GTO....lots of folks rev on her at lights cuz she got the cam lope and headers and all...then they just give me a thumbs up and we both wave and that's that.....
Well....today....a guy probably early 20's and his girlfriend (I guess) in town....never seen him before....03 Mustang GT...obvious headers/pipes...but other than that sounded stock...yup he purges on me at the light....then starts this retarded 6000rpm revving on me.....nothing in front of us and only a few folks behind us.....I hit the T/C and drop it in 3rd (A4)....light goes and I blow this kids frickin doors off.....he is sitting back there in a cloud of his own tire smoke...I hook (thumbs up to Harrop/Nitto's) and am gone....shut it off about 80mph...probably ran WOT less than a football field...but he never even left the light:)....and of course here the lil shit comes flying down the raod....whizzes past me (I'm doing 40mph now..).....and yes hits his flashers as he passes me.... :lmao:

You're a wise man. Don't let one weak moment get you down. At least there was no traffic. Low 11's is one sick beast. Racing is a lot of fun. Like you, I save it for the track. Unfortuneately, there's always some punk just asking for it on the street. :usa:

Yup...it has dyno'd at 433 up to 451...depending on the temp/humidity and of course the tweaks and crap we do to it constantly....we have changed heads/cam setup 4-5 times now:)

The owners manual says 3rd gear offers better performance at the cost of fuel economy... Take that for what you will.

My car always seems a bit tighter off a dig from 3rd than from OD.
