I just happen to drive an automatic convertible (see avatar). Why can't I have SLP headers? Does this mean I can't have any headers or just SLP? Anything I can do to get the headers to fit?

Thanks

Im not sure why that is but I just checked a few sponsers and theirs nothing listed on the pacesetter or flowtech headers on not fiting auto convertables. I would just give a sponser a call to double check, I do know SLP headers are weird and theirs ALOT of better choices out their

I've heard quite a few people say they lost ground clearance with the SLP headers. I agree with the other poster, I would consider something else.

Maybe start a new post and ask other convertable owners what they run in the subject line.

:stupid:

SLP's headers suck, thier flow numbers are worse than shorties and loose WAY too much ground clearance. Stick with a good stainless header like Kooks.

Give up trying to make them fit. SLP long tubes will not fit your car. I would go with QTP long tubes. This is the only set of long tubes I have seen for an LS1 that has a decent set of collectors on them.http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=235_82_43&products_id=1183&osCsid=1f575151fc27e6a639371d37aa55f615
