Issues with headlights and wipers

I am having some issuses with my car and i need to get it inspected if anyone has any tips and or suggestions Please HELP

1. I have 1 headlight out it was dim for awhile and now its dead i have tried to replace it with a new one and nothing!

2. When i turn my wipers off they go to the up postion instead of the down/off postion

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

the headlight problem is a bad connection in the harness,follow the wiring back to the connectors and pull the connector apart.its burnt or corroded there.repair-replace.the wiper problem is going to take replacing the wiper motor.or try turning the wiper actuator arm on the wiper motor shaft 180 and see if it parks properly,maybe someone before you installed it wrong?

Thanks man im going to check into that as for the wipers they worked fine for 2 years all of a sudden one day they went up not down
