2001 A4 WS6 vs. 2003 Ram 5.7L Hemi

I have a guy at work that just picked up the Dodge Ram w/ the hemi in it, he told me he wants to race me for $100 bucks. I have a 2001 WS6 A4 completely stock, (in about 2 weeks i will have the Fast Toys Ram Air, and the SLP lid) Should i be worried at all about this, or is it an easy $100 bucks for me? I dont know 1/4 mile times or anything on it.. but should i go for it?

I own a 05 hemi ram and a 02 SS. While the trucks r fast trucks he doesnt have a chance

The hemi rams are definatly nice trucks...but stock or anywhere near stock he's out of his league against your ws6. But with $100 on the line i'd take a quick peek under the hood or just listen for a whine when he drives by.

in my sc saleen i raced one after he said it would be hard for me to give him the move and catch him, i gave him 4 cars + the move and beat him by 4 cars in just over 1/8 maybe 1/4 mile race, while i was spinnin it hard.. he was runnin 9.6's in the 1/8th.. if you havnt taken his money yet ill do it for u :)

you should beat him if his truck is stock. but, if he has full exhaust, k&n air filter, and computer programmer he could easily run a 13.40-13.60. Some trucks are a lot faster than ppl think. i have a full size 94 extra cab that runs high 12's and gets every bit of 3 miles to the gallon.

It makes the same-ish power as an LS1 yet weights 4971 pounds. It will get raped. he already weighs that much, weighing his rearend down will only hurt him more. Hemis aren't magical

I've never seen one run...so just using numbers, a single cab srt-10 could be a decent race(within a few cars). Traction will be a big prob from a dig on street tires...i've seen a couple single cabs driving around but i'm always at work when i see them:cry: Maybe i'll get lucky and run one..

5100 lbs./500 hp VS. 3500 lbs./350 hp
Pretty close lb./hp numbers. LS1 has huge traction advantage on the launch and aerodynamics advantage at end of the run.

ErdalTo answer ur question..No, i was messin with one a few months ago and i thought he would just get up and leave me. Well as soon as we kicked em off that was the last i seen from him. So i could really careless what kind of truck it is. To my knowledge is there is NO factory truck that will compete against a LS1.

I drive a 2006 Ram QC w/ the Hemi and I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ the Hemi. The Jeep is much faster than the truck, and my WS6 will spank them both pretty badly. The Jeep's qtr mile is about 15 seconds, so you have some room to spare. I am geussing the truck is 16 seconds.
