i noticed today while riding down the road that the temp guage was not registering at all. i then noticed the electric fan was running. i got somewhere so i could stop, cut the car off then back on the temp guage would bounce then go back to 0 and within 25 secs the fan would cut on. wtf is going on here, any help would be great. thanks in advance, forrest

Have you taken a look at the thermostat. Maybe it's sticking or going out on ya. :dunno:

Sounds you have an electrical problem. The radiator fans should kick on when you have the air conditioner on max or the temp goes above 200°.

Have you changed your thermostat, radiator fluid, or done any types of mods related to it?

Is your car overheating?

faulty t-stat or bad relay .my old transam(89) used to do this alot the fan wouldnt kick in.it ended up being a relay.id try first by replacing the t-stat.nice easy fix if that doesnt work bring it to have it looked at.last thing you want is to overheat...o ya and of course check you radiator adnd when as the last time you had changed your fluid?keeping up with servicing your vehicle does prevent alot of problems
