on a country road out by my house, we went racing in another place also, took it up to 90 and my trans started to get ghey it would not shift out of 2nd when i alreadt had a car length on him, but we didnt get that on video, cause someone called the cops on us.:thumbdn:

off topic: i went riding in my friends 95 z. it's got a few "air flow" mods and recently was tuned....that was the scariest thing i've ever done. He went about 10-90mph in like 70 feet. I seriously thoguht we were going to die.

My bad dude, I thought you had a manual in that car. So the auto tranny didn't shift when it was supposed to and the car hit the rev limiter?

I got a manual in mine, and when it hits the rev limiter there seems to be no power. If you shift it right, then you shouldn't hit the rev limiter (of course), but for some reason I don't think that factory tach is real accurate. Or maybe its because it revs so damn fast above 4000. One second its on 6 grand, and a millisecond later its on the rev limiter (mine is set at 6600).

Man I love how this thing sounds above 4000, it sounds like it went from small block to big block in a nanosecond.

nope, my trans is stock and a stock converter, but all that has been taken care of i get the car back on monday, and i hope by the following wednesday i can get some good racing in after i break the trans in a little bit.

im making power to about 6,500 also, i love the sound of it when you get on it, and i just have a cutout

A stall makes a night and day difference. You are gonna need some BIG stickies to keep that thing planted.

Well, it is how it transfers power. A high stall converter like the one you got will greater multiply the torque created by your engine. You will feel more thrust, it is hard to explain really. I had a stall in one project I had, and it messed up and started spewing tranny fluid. I took it out, and put the stocker back in there, man I didn't even like driving it anymore. It transferred the power TOTALLY different. Also, the stall speed is kinda like "dropping the clutch" at higher rpm. That moth*f*cka is gonna rip dude when you lay into it.

I want you to tell me what you think after you drive it with the stall. PM me or sumthin.
