If an aftermarket CD deck is installed in a T/A. Will the controls for deck on the steering wheels still work?

If the new HU has an infrared remote control you can use the PAC SWI-X Steering Wheel Inteface adapter to keep your steering wheel controls. Just do a Google search for PAC SWI-X

Is a easy intall, need to program the Pac swi-x using the remote from your aftermarket hu and sterring wheel controls and hide the eye, so it has a clear shot to the face of the cd..just need to connect a wire and + and -. If you have a Alpine, newer kenwood or jvc they have a pac swi-alp that plugs into the aftermarket HU, so no led eye is needed and saves time with trying to hide it and still be able to get a good clean shot to the face of the hu.

Clarion have some good steering wheel replacement IR controllers.

I mounted mine just below the HU. It works better here than it did when I had it in the cup holder in the center console facing the HU. The brain is mounted inside the dash under the radio.
