im wondering if anyone knows if the 4L60E-HD2 will let your trans shift as an auto still? i have one sitting here, waiting to be installed, but i cant find any info on if it converts if to "manual only" shifting.
im hoping it does keep its auto function, i just want firmer shifts.

Im looking at buying the transgo kit. I found it on ebay for $79+ shipping. I was curious what is the level of difficulty doing the install myself.

its not really that hard to do, i had it on a lift, and an extra set of hands though. the only part thats gonna suck is doing the servos (its on the outside of the tranny). in the GTOs, theres not much room between the body and the trans, so im waiting till i drop the trans to throw my torque converter in to do it.

the instructions kinda suck. the kit is made for professionals that are rebuilding a trans, but they are easy to understand. i would have rather they were more specific on getting to certain parts, but once your actually replacing parts, its very good. ex, they show you replacing parts in the valve body, but dont show you how to get there. i had to figure out which parts to take off to get the valve body off.
