Cam is your first mod???

I would recommend getting some breather mods first. That way when you do get to a cam...it is worth it.

I recommend at least headers before a cam install.
Do you have an airbox lid??
Ported throttle body?

Best bet is to make sure she can breath before asking her to breath more. If that makes sense.

How about a gear? 4.10s or 3.73s...

I agree get a lid, TB, and some headers. Headers are almost a must if you want full potential of ur cam. From what i hear a cam breaths better with a full exhaust.

I agree, a buddy of mine did his cam, stall, and LS1 EDIT with stock manifolds and only picked up 30hp!! Once he got the headers he picked up almost 40 more.--Tony

basically if your looking for the power cams claim to give you, you will need ALL the bolt on's. And it aint cheap either. Get ready to shell out $1800 for just parts. Add AT LEAST another $500 for labor. Thats why take our advice and get the parts you need. Send out ur TB for polishing, order a new lid, LT's are a must, and an LS6 intake.

TB polishing... $150
Lid... $100
LT's depending on what you get will be around $400-500
LS6 intake is another $500

$1250 for the parts you need for a cam to breath properly
400- 500 for a cam
and another 800-900 you will need for the cam. AKA pushrods, timing chain etc...

$2800 and you should be ready. "goin fast aint always cheap"

As previously stated, I'd advise a lid, ported TB, and full exhaust, before you bother with a cam....

This is no BS...We took my cousin's car to get tuned yesterday, H/C 98 Z28 with the STOCK airbox and paper filter, with no tuning, JUST an FIPK swap, 20 RWHP was gained...
