problem with remote door lock controler help

i got this problem with my 02 vette the remote to open the door locks doesn't work but both of the controllers don't work so it can't be the battery what could be causing this problem. any help would be great. thanks.

did you try holding down both the lock and unlock buttons for about 20 or so sec to reset the transmitters.
