In my 00 ws6 m6 the shifter jumps about 3 or 4 inches when you give it gas while in gear. I dunno if its normal or if a tranny mount maybe broke. What you think?

My Brothers did that and he had a broke tranny mount. Be careful if you buy a urethane I bought one and it had an awful vibration. i bought a new Gm and it went away. I say broke mount.

thats what i am thinking to did you do it yourself? If so how hard was it? If not how much did it cost?

I did it myself. Just jack it up remove the 4 bolts on the cross member and the on bolt in the mount to the cross member and remove the cross member. Then take out the two bolts for the mount to the tranny. Takes about 15 minutes tops to swap out. The new GM mount is about $70. After dealing with the urethane mount it was worth money to get rid of the vibration.
