View Full Version : what all do i need to replace?

my clutch and master are goin out so im wanting to replace everything. what all do i need to buy to replace? clutch, master and slave cylinder, throw out bearing, pilot bearing???? for anyone who has replaced everything, let me kno what u replaced and that would be a big help, thanks guys. :help:

I just ordered and recieved my parts SPec 3 plus clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, new steel Spec flywheel, 01-02 slave cylinder, and master cylinder. If your going to do it replace everything at once.

some good advise....stay away from the SPEC clutches.......go with a Centerforce!! I've got SPEC clutches going out all around me!

I got a Z06 clutch package off of ebay with the fidenza alluminum flywheel, then bought a new stock master and slave cylinder from one of the sponsors on here. GM parts direct, the throw out bearing arrived cracked in my ebay package but they quickly sent me a replacement but one already came installed on my new slave cylinder so I have a spare sitting around. I had the flywheel machined they said it was rare they actually had to take some metal out instead of welding some on which is always better. Got it put in and I am pretty happy so far. I also changed a leaking differential rear seal why I was in there and had the driveshaft out.
