Saw it, the hoda guys were such ricers, sad really. First Race: (ricers) "We want you to unhook your nitrous and give us 10 cars" lol. Really though the import dudes on tonight seemed to not have a clue... I wonder if they really get on there and loose their cars, how can you show up with 600 hp (yeah right) and no slicks... come on... I bet when the car cover came off that TA they all went "doh" simultaneously...

How can anyone have pride in an import? Where's the power? Where's the looks? Where's anything? Is this the "Consumer Reports' generation of American kids that really buy into 'foreign is better'?? Pretty sad. :thumbdn:
Glad to see the T/A do some serious thumpin'.

I've seen a 12s Honda Civic. Before you say anything, I met the owner and he was a total crafter, not some weenie with a socket set. I looked under the hood and saw just how much he gutted out to get it to go that fast. Bare metal everywhere, no plastic resovoirs, welding welding welding, very large pipes for a very large turbo. You wouldn't give this car a second glance on the highway. One peek at the cage on the interior might give you some ideas, though.

When I was watching and that kid was asking for 20 lengths I was thinking, if that were me, I tell the kid to go home.

I can understand needing lengths, but damn... 20??!?!?! If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

I think that fat kid was full of crap about the 600HP too. If he had it I dont think the TA would have spanked him that bad.. the TA has a LT4 with a Blower and a hit of nitrous.. It didnt say his HP rating But Im guessing at was around 750 all said.. hell who knows with that show.

I will say this... I think the "Cut line" was a bunch of crap too.. the kid just done that so he would have an excuse to ask for 20 lengths..

He should have been a man.. heads up!! if he was that damn proud of his car he would have put his little slicks on the front and went balls to the wall..

It was funny after the first race loss how all the typical rice excuses started flying. Blah blah blah rear wheel drive blah blah.

Look, next time you build a car for racing, build one that is better suited for it by design. Until then, cry to someone who cares.

That was the baddest example of a civic I have ever seen. The guy that won it even sais it was impressive, before he sold it back to him he ran the F out of it on the dyno, 685whp. Who cares how much hp you make if it's fwd though, idiots

I was going crazy in my living room! That dumbass asking for 20 lengths...the track is only so long! Hell you might as well start 10 feet from the finish line. Are you guys saying that after the show the guy sold it back to the poor kid? Heremided me of Paul Walker on F&F, over there saying "I'm increasing the boost" with his little boost-monitor! What a joke!

Yeah the one with the Nova and Vette was probably one of the best. They raced the right way...HEADS UP!

yeah, that Mustang was launching hard as hell...

and maybe Camaro dude should have sandbagged his trial run like the Mustang did...not for nothing, but it sounded like it was loading up on a cylinder to me, I don't think they were faking about it being broke, like other guys have in past shows....

Man they picked the biggest losers Ive ever seen (those Honda guys) to do the "import" side. Why not Supra, 300ZX, RX7, EVO? Im glad those Honda tools got embarrassed though, they deserved everything they got. It was just a "classic" Honda crew with a bunch of retarded excuses.

20 car lengths wtf is that hahaha

Actually the take I had on it was apparantly the two drivers must have worked out some deal where they'd both bring "an 11 second car" so that it would become more of a driver's race, as there seemed to be some animosity between them. The "Mustang guy" may have had a Camaro (somewhere) built to be a faster car but as you can see he stuck with the Stang, and on the first race the Mustang looked to win by the amount spotted him so obviously they both seemed to be hiding some power and were well matched----well until the 'maro broke in typical GM fashion (hehe - j/k)

MAD
03-23-2006, 12:56 PM
Both cars shit out on the drivers. The camaro was the first one to do it and was leaking oil and deemed not fit to go down the track. The stang was spewing coolant and finally bust out into a cloud of steam or whatever right after the camaro was shutdown. They gave the win to the stang driver though.

Yes,they also did have an agreement to bring and build 11sec cars from random parts and see what they could do in the amount of time they had-hence the reason the stang driver kept bringing up the 11sec car thing.

BigBlockPower
03-23-2006, 01:35 PM
Just a matter of time for the stang, the driver mentioned he had blown headgaskets before even the 2nd race. Ultimately the engine lasted exactly the amount of time it needed to LOL

Even the ricers are getting on the dude's ass about that embarassment.

I think the Gran Turismo and Need for Speed games may have something to do with it too. GT is a great game and all, but except for some of the race versions of most of the cars, the American vehicles don't get much respect.

I saw a preview for the next F&F movie when Barda and I went to see V for Vendetta. It looked like there's a GT350 thrown in there. Might be moderately interesting.

They're in Japan and its all about drifting and street racing. Not sure how thrilled I am with the plot on that one, not that I expected much anyway. Although I did see a new viper in one of the shots so atleast there's some american muscle.

What do those econoboxes do better again? I've got a video on my computer somewhere of a Supra with a big single turbo (SP67) or something I think on it that tears down twin turbo corvette's, supercharged viper,Lambo Murcielago, and a turbo Trans Am like they were all nothing.

This is way off topic and I'm the last person that would tear down an econobox since I've owned a few in my day (spicey orange Mazdaspeed Protege comes to mind) but it was far from a top end performer.

I didnt mean factory-designed turbo econoboxes. The evo 8 is mean looking, but I prefer a more traditional sports car look. I was talking about hatch hondas cobbled together, that actually may run well and reliably, but I like style man, hence the vette ( I just got it so Im still having a lil vette tude, lol)

oh yeah, and I never raced an evo but i beat an sti at 140 on the interstate in my 92 vr4, just slowly pulled on by, and that was stock, on a 198,000 mile motor. He was probably stock too but it was a nice car, blue with bronze rims.
