Hey i am thinking of buying an SS hood for my 98 Z. This hood is off of a 99 SS that was rolled. im getting it for 50 bucks. Does anyone know how much the hood would cost to be fixed? and painted to my color? (mystic teal) is this even worth getting?

Damn if you don't want it, I'll take it ;)!
Not sure from the pics on damage, but maybe just some fiber glass patches and bondo to fix the cracks and holes, then sand it smooth for paint. If you did the fixing it would be cheaper than to have it all done by someone else. I bought a FG and bondo kit for less than 30 bucks. I dunno, you decide.

on my grandfathers 2002 durmax diesal truck, a small part was hit by the tailgate. it was fiberglass, like the whole side of the truck. this smace no bigger then 5'. the WHOLE side had to be replaced, they said they could not fix the fibergalss. thats what i was told, the insurance company paid 2,200 to have it fixed.
but get more info on this please

My dad owns a body shop and fiberglass can be repaired........as long as the people fixing it have fiberglass experience. Prices vary greatly, look around. If it was me I would try to have someone maybe that has worked fixing boats or some other fiberglass work experience. Sometimes it looks good when you first get it back, but if it isn't done right then it will crack down the road..............fwiw
