mine transmission shakes ALOT when shifting; especially aggressive shifting and if i'm rolling at a slow pace and put it in a higher gear. my friend says new tranny mount.
Maybe so. Get under it and look at it. There is a local guy (EastGate/Batavia) who makes his living working on Birds, Camaros, and Vettes and he's reasonable. If you want his name & # email me. k.padgett@fuse.net.

Some additional mud thrown against the wall. Besides the trans mount, check. Fasteners (AKA) nuts ,and bolts on Trans to engine, Cross member, engine mounts,Torque arm, and Control arms on rear end. Also an engine missfire under load can create the shaking too. Does your clutch feel normal? It is benificial to have some one who works on F bodys, drive the car with you along. Get a fresh angle on the symptoms. Make sure you don't have a missfire. From your description, these are the first things that occured to me. Spill your guts on everything that you are hearing, feeling, and any new symptoms that you may not even think are related.

i'm really hoping it's not much...i paid closer attention to it today:
seems that 2nd gear is the one it does it the most, b/c i was flying up the highway and 3/4/5/6 were fine. But going into 2nd i felt the whole car buck forward. joel [zboner] felt something smack teh bottom of the passenger seat while he was in it.

You can do a mount yourself in less than an hour with simple tools and a floorjack. Get under the car and look at the trans mount located towards the rear of the car if the rubber appears to be broken between the trans and the crossmember buy a new one and go at it. If you need further instructions just PM me! Good luck!
