top car wax

ive been using the liquid tech wax, but ive heard that the 3-m perfect it showcar polish and zaino z-2 are amazing too, what what do u use?

How hard is it to apply zaino ?? I was thinking of going with liquid glass as ive heard good things from the guy who painted my car, but im intrigued by this also.

Zaino is really good quality but its expensive and hard to find. I personally like to do a layer or two of Meguires 26. Its available at most auto stores and is moderately priced and looks nice if you take your time.

For those of us who aren't lucky enough to have a garage for our Fbodies, what would you recommend? Trying to find some sort of overhang or shady spot to use, or wait till it's cloudy out? Or does it really matter if you apply wax while the sun is out?

If the paint is fairly cool, you can apply Zaino in the sun.

LIQUID GLASS!!!! thats the best, they tell you to let it (bake in) the sun after you 1 pre-clean 2 polish it. it's not a wax but has the properties of a wax an you can apply polish many time for you never get any (wax build up ) try it you'll love it.:yup:

I used to apply zaino all the time in the California sun--no problem at all. It was white though.

Best wax is at best subjective. I only use carnauba wax, and only Zymol for car #1.

I say Zaino too. 2 coats of Z5 and a layer of Z6 has always given me an unbeatable shine.

In My Humble Opinion, The Best Wax Out There Is Zymol. I Can Remember Back In The Early 90's When The Only Place To Get It Was The Car Show In Nyc. Even Then It Was $50 A Bottle. Now You Can Get It Almost Anywhere For About $19.95. I've Used Almost Every Wax Known To Man, And This By Far Is The Best.... Especially If You Have A Darker Colored Vehicle. It Makes The Paint Look Wet, And Give The Effect Of The Paint Looking About A Foot Thick. It Also Works Well At Filling In Fine Swirls And Scratches. If You Haven't Experienced What Zymol Can Do For You....try It, You Won't Be Sorry.

zaino by far is the best.i use zfx and z5 followed by z6 .i appled it in all types of weather from 40-85deg never had any problem .as for the price i wouldnt say its all that expensive considering it doesnt take much zaino to do a car in the first place.i used to use the mothers and it seemed like it took almost a full bottle just to cover my car,ill never use anything but zaino again.when i notice im running low i reorder my stuff and have it within 3 days or so

IMHO Zaino, but whatever gives you the best result is what you should stick with. Zymol is some good stuff.

I also don't think it is hard to get...

I just put a coat of Zaino Z2 on the car (in the sun). It's awesome stuff.

I put a coat of z2 on today myself. I just did a z1 and z2 yesterday.

I know, why... Cuz I am being a bum and it was too early to start drinking (according to the wifey)... Plus it sure makes the ole Hawk shine.

PS not to early to drink now... Hey I am retired, I just have to wait til after noon (yeah wifes rule again)....

Just for the record...it's never to early to drink...responsibly of course :) That's why they have Bloody Mary's and Vodka & OJ, a Fuzzy Navel maybe...ya know, morning drinks.
