Can anyone tell me how I can find out what gears are in my automatic 98 Z28? Thanks.

prolly 273s but you can check the codes on the driver door

Check the RPO codes on the drivers side door - GU2 (2.73) or GU5 (3.23).

Are the 2.73's geared lower than the 3.23's? I looked on my door and found GU2.

Basically want to know how much difference there are between the 2.73's and the 3.23's.

The 3.23s will top out at 46 in 1st, 88 in 2nd, 142 in 3rd, and 203 in 4th. If it makes it that far. The 2.73s will top out at 55 in 1st, 104 in 2nd, 168 in 3rd, and 240 in 4th. This is assuming a 6000 rpm redline.
