I will be installing a new dual centerforce clutch kit, t/o bearing, flywheel and pilot bearing soon and on the centerforce website they state that I need to replace the slave cyclinder but I only have 29K in the car.

Do you guys think I will need to chage it out now or will it be fine and R&R it later on?

What is the difference in the stock slave cyclinder that comes on the 02 Z28 and the p/n that they reccomend GM12565145 superceded by GM15046288?

Hi there,
My opinion with these cars you don't ever replace a clutch without the slave. It's cheap insurance!! The latest number is the 15046288. You can order it conveniently online from us at any time from www.fredbeansgmparts.com and click where it says click here to search by part number.

Good luck.
Thanks. Gene.

well...I thought the same thing. I installed the CFDF, TOB, PB and the slave went the very next day.

the 98 is different from the newer part number, so Gene is right...change it now, bleeding it is the only sucky part about the job

oh, the pilot is a pain in the neck too...make sure you have a proper puller:D

yes you should. they are high wear items and should be replaced with the clutch. bleeding it isnt necessary since they come prebled..or they should at least.
