a/f ratio gauge.....who makes a decent one

I know autometer is the household name in metering products but wanted to get input from teh LS1 masses on what they use and what works....i run nitrous and recently had almost a deadly dyno session due to my a/f leaning so friggin bad...wanted to be able to monitor it while spraying and what not....the lil annoying bouncing light is alot easier to deal with than having to buy a new short block..........


any input is appreciated.......!!

I had the autometer and sorked OK but seemed to be sort of off when it came down to true details of your A/F. I run nitrous also and apparently my car was leaning out on the top end and I never saw a single indication on the guage that this was occuring. Maybe it was just some odd deal with mine but whatever you get I would also hate to say also have it's readings verified by having a shop examine what your car is doing on a dyno that measures A/F. More time and money but then you will know you can rely on the guage. Good luck!

Running an Autometer A/F gage with your stock narrowband sensors is nothing more than a 'light show' - the gage doesn't give you a numerical value - not that it would matter cause the narrowband sensors aren't that accurate anyway.

I would definitely go with the Innovate setup as suggested above. I have the LC-1 with the new XD-16 programmable gage. Got it from a sponsor on LS1Tech that is currently running a special for a great price.
