Looks awesome man, I've been looking into those for myelf. How's traction with such a small sidewall?

how much ground clearance do you have? id like to lower mine but the torque arm and cutout catch enough speed bumps already.

SLIKWS6
04-08-2006, 07:50 AM
Selah, traction with the sidewall is eh nothing really too bad, the fact that the wheels are heavy is probably the reason as to why the tires catch pretty good, but believe me if I wanted to I can get em going pretty good.BTW, the hyperlights would look nice on your SOM.

whitesnake05, I probably have about three inches of clearance underneath the car, when it comes to speed bumps I find my way around them. Unless their huge, I usually go right across most as well.

and with the largere wheels i actually had better ground clearance now i got n20 powered gto www.msnusers.com/ricksgto

do you have any wheel well clearance issues with the 19's and the car being lowered?

SLIKWS6
04-12-2006, 12:33 PM
Their are no wheel clearance issues with the 19s and the car being lowered, no rubbing anywhere whatsoever.

Think of it this way, with the size of the sidewall and the 19 inch rim, it comes out to be about the same height as the original wheel.

So How Much Of A Drop Did You Go With?...is That A 2" Or A 1.5" ? Im Hoping I Can Get My Ws6 To Sit As Clean As Yours....very Nice

did you buy those locally or did you order them?
i cant seem to find where to buy those wheels...
and do you mind me asking how much those 19" tires set you back?

BLK02TA
04-19-2006, 10:30 PM
Ya where did u get em from? The ones on ebay are stupid, they're like 17x8 front or sumthing like that. Wish I could order 4 17x9s but the sets on ebay are all mixed.

SLIKWS6

The tires alone set me back about a grand, just look around, theirs all these high priced 19 inch tires, I searched for the cheapest and thats the best I could come up with. I found or find no need for expensive tires since the wheels alone are more for looks, so as long as I can roll on them Im fine.
I found mine on ebay, btw.
Personally the 17s and 18s too me are too small for a TA in this type of wheel, for a Camaro, I wouldn't go less than 18.
Thanks for the compliments.

Thats the pattern on the rim, I sent you a pm about the same thing.

You can buy a hubcentric ring in plastic, aluminum etc... to get the wheel to sit exact on the hub for a sense of security but its not that much more of a difference. Their not to expensive either.

Thanks for bringin back the thread, Ill see if I can get some better shots up later and thanks for the comments.

Curtis, Id like some shots of both of our cars together.

not sure if i like it or not :thinkin: Maybe b/c it's a drab picture or b/c they are kinda gray against the black. I bet those in blak or gunmetal would look super sexy on a black car. I do like the style of the rim and give you props for going with a different rim instead of following the tt2 trend.
