So you put a magnaflow muffler in a slp LM? Sounds good to me, i'm looking for a system that doesnt sounds so raspy.

Did you have to do any welding or did it just fit?

I cut from the back of the slp muffler to the y-pipe and i clamped the magnaflow to the y-pipe and there was about a 6 in gap to the I-pipe so i added a 6" pipe to the I-pipe and had both sides streched and clamped it with some band camps :) to fill the gap pics here http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=462094

I think I will try it on my car. Do you have a P/N on the magnaflow muffler.
summit or jegs carry them? And I assume Its not as loud as the loudmouth. (I want loud but not call the cops loud)

I like it I am getting ready to do to the same thing to mine. The loudmouth is too raspy with no cats and headers.

where did you get that magnaflow muffler it looks way smaller than mine? is it just because of the angle or is it a bullet style?? curious.. maybe ive been buying the wrong muffler this whole time...

Magnaflow makes a bullet muffler with a 3" core and 4" outside diameter. This is the one I'm thinking of putting in my I-pipe to quiet my GMMG down.
