Has anyone replaced the black foam gasket that is adhesive that you install on the top of the lid for the seal? I took my lid off while I was pulling my MAf and the gasket has gotten dry and has come off in places. Should I try to make my own? change material? any help would be appreciated.

Mine has one, think it came with the K&N filter/Whisper combo years ago. If you want to replace it just bring a small piece with you to HD or hardware store and get some foam window insulation that's sticky on one side.

Yea it comes with the K&N filter, not needed if you use a paper filter, but mine dried and cracked just the same and now I dont have one on there, I think it makes up for poorly fitted lids, which my SLP one is.

your right, I did get it with the K&N, not the lid. Sorry, installed it 4 years ago, I will remake one. My lid has always been tough getting to close with a K&N or paper filter. I am going to tear it off and see if there is too much play with the lid and both filters, I would rather not have it coming apart into my intake. Plus, it was a pain in the A$$ to get that damn gasket on the lid in the first place. Thanks for the replies.
