I have a sts kit coming in the mail I will let you all know if the rumors are true and how the kit preforms. My car is stock so Should be a good test on what the kit really does. I also got the bottom base kit to get a good idea whats the worst amount of power u can get from kit.

I had the base kit on my SS for about a year. It was a blast to drive...but there was one problem.
I GOT ADDICTED TO THE BOOST!!

At 8 psi was the only level I dyno'd at. Put down 475 rwhp with a lot of valve float. I will tell you that a few things will hurt your power level up top (above 5200). 1) The stock cam falls off around there anyway, 2) The base 60-1 turbo will choke up top, and 3) that stock valve springs can't keep up either.
Because of all of these things, I turned my boost down to 6 psi when I went to the track. I only got 2 runs, both were 12.2's at 116.xx mph. Which leads me to think the car was making around 425 rwhp at that boost level.

yea i know your right about the stock valve springs but the cam is bigger on the gto ls1 so maybe i be better off there since the redline on the gto is 6200 and the new turbo they are using the sts kit know is the new garret gt 67 turbo. so with the tune and the 38 lb injectors i have i am hoping i can make 475 to the wheels and keep it there. and i am not worried about the tranny and the rear end becuase i have a auto and when i had my ta i was putting down that much with 150 wet shot of nos and must have run 30 bottles on the stock 7.5 inch rear end and never broke anything so i should be good i hope. i need to see how much to replace the stock valve springs .
