I am having this problem with my transmission when my car upshifts into 2-3 and sometimes 3-4 the car starts acting like it can't shift into a higher gear kinda feels like someone pulling the car backwards or a shudder from the front of the car. It became worser today on my way home only way I can upshift through those gears if I keep the rpm's below 2000 or above 3000. Is the Transmission slipping, what is the problem and how much will it cost to get it fixed?
Sounds like the clutchpacks are going. If you wanna go "cheap" first, you can try a fresh flush and filter change. Sometimes it helps. Might wanna take it to a shop and have it checked out.
Could be a solenoid as well. I'm going through some tranny problems right now as well, so I can understand some of the frustrations. Good Luck.

Ok took it to two shops today and one told me i needed a tune-up because it feels like the wires went bad and the second shop (a more Known shop) told me that i had engine misfire and transmission was slipping, they told me a tune-up would get rid of the engine misfire and i need a new transmission in order to fix the problems, would cost me $2100.00 for everything. is that a good price?
If that includes the new transmission and labor, yes it's a good price. Are you getting a new one, or are you getting your old one rebuilt?
(sorry for the back to back posts)
Now, I have heard of bad wires disguising themselves as a bad tranny. Start out cheap, get the wires changed first and see if that helps. If not, then start looking at transmission shops. Wires are 50 to 70 dollars for our cars -- a new tranny 1200 to 2000. Good luck man.
