I have a 1999 Pontiac TA M6 speed with major tranny problems. About $1110.00 and 5000 miles ago my tranny was rebuilt by someone that supposedly knew what they were doing (a business). They claimed that they would warranty the work. Yeah, when a problem arose they went back into the tranny, but they had distractions and problems. Now I have a transmission that makes hard slamming noises. The transmission shifts fine but while travelling, it makes all kind of slamming and slapping noises. I have drained the fluid and it is metallic. It is back on the jack stands, a lawn ornament. I live about 60 miles out Southeast of Dallas, TX and would like to know if anyone has any dealings with a reputable and honest transmission rebuilding company or if you can give insight as to what my transmission problem is. This tranny has turned out to be a nightmare since the rebuild. I am not opposed to a rebuilder in Houston as well, if good. Any help would be greatly appreciated with this problem. I just want my car back.....
