My 97 is only one of two 97s I have ever seen with an analog odometer. IT seems everyone but me got digital. . .:thinkin: Which do you have. The guy I sold it to ordered a new guage cluster and they sent him digital so he had to send it back, kinda odd that they changed mid-production

Its not very odd at all that they changed things in the production year, but i have never seen a 97 with analog odometer.

I have a dealership brochure for 97 and in the interior pics it shows an analog odometer. However my 97 has a digital, and my friends 97 WS6 also has a digital odometer as well. They must have made the change shortly after production began because there doesn't seem to be too many 97's with an analog readout. Interesting thread.

My 97 has analog odo/trip. I have been wondering if I could swap it out and put in a digital one?

I dunno, I wouldn't think it would be easy considering the car is setup to manually drive the rollers and you would need the electronic signal for digital? Well, at least I know someone else has/had analog too and I wasn't all alone. . .lol

Maybe they just used up some leftovers from 96 before going digital.

'97 got the new interior though, so it's diff guages than 96. This means they redesigned the guage cluster, only to redesign it again very early in the production year
EDIT: camaros got the new interior, don't know about T/As interiors

no I wasn't the first owner, but the 97 camaro got the same interior that 98up had. Old body style, still LT1, new tailights wheels and interior

GM only used the analog odometer for a few months. About 1 in 5 cars or less has one. Both the digital and analog are electrically driven and can be swaped.
I've got the digital odometer and have been wanting to swap for analog. Anyone up for a swap??
