Simple exhaust question

I am going to get a simple/basic cutout. It will be going in line with the original exhaust system on a 2001 Z28. Can somebody tell me the diameter. Is it 2 1/2 or 3 inches? Thanks

no problem man, the Z's and regular T/A's came with 2.5 and the SS and WS6 came with 2.75

It depends on what part of the exhaust you are talking about. If you are talking about the I-pipe, then the Z28's, T/A's and most WS6's and SS's come with a 2.75" pipe. The Firehawk came with a 3" I-pipe, and you could special order an SS/WS6 with a 3" pipe.

i believe mine has the 3 inch I pipe, because my 98 ss came with the single exit exhaust (aka cannon exhaust) all 3 inch from the cat back
