Hypertech help

Hey folks, my friends recently bought a hypertech programer for their 02 SS (automatic). We've been trying to figure out how to set the shift points but we're not sure what the best shift point is for an automatic? Should we set the WOT shift at 5500 rpm or lower? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

5500 sounds good for an auto, could go to 5750 but that would be pushing it since you're waiting for a mechanical shift for your tranny, the needle will probably read 5750 by the time it shifts if you set it at 5500 so go for it.
