How does the change oil light work? Mine was on when we got it and we changed it ( as well as everything else ) and it still comes up for about a minute after i start it up then goes off. I want it off completely..any info please...thanks!

You can either hold down the trip odo button or do the 'key on,press gas pedal down 3 times within 5 seconds' methods, both work. The system keeps track of every revolution of the engine and tracks what the engine temperature was at those revolutions and gives an oil change interval based on that. It's a pretty good system IMHO.

Well, I've been changin it w/ Synthetic and the thing only comes on maybe every 6-7k miles. So I just change it every 3k and ignore the light...
