need new tires and wanted to see if i could fit something bigger on my stock rim.....275's on there now

Well from what I have read, if you are on a 9" rim.... You are already at the limit for tire size..

don't go bigger... if so, get widser rims,

were 245's on there stock? these tires have been on since i got the car and not sure what came on them stock....a non-ws6 trans am

are your wheels 16"x8" or the 17x9"
16x8, don't go wider than 245
17x9, don't go wider than 275
at least for properly mounted tires on the rim.
