ok so my z28 is in the shop gettin the ss hood put on and it is a functional hood, i also have lying around the SLP cold air intake, the one that draws air from underneath....? is, would that have any effect since i got the funtional ram air now with the hood, or would adding the SLP one just be a lost cause????

from what i have read its not always more is better... the air comming together in the air box actually causes turbulence which is not good... most ppl on here will recommend one or the other... not both...

if you look through here i think this is a question that is ask pretty frequently so there should be quite a bit of info on it

keep readin then....cause the ss hood realy doesent even work until you reach higher speeds....like say over 120 mph........the slp cold air kit which i have on my car is just the opposite. so unless he does all his driving at daytona....the SS hood is pretty much just for looks

You can always do the FRA mod to help your car breath a bit better.
