Ls6 Question!!!!

What is the differance bewtween the valve springs......I've seen yellow and then there was normal polished springs.........Is there a differance?

GM has many differant types of springs bare metal is rated for .500" lift, Blue is .525" lift and yellow is .550" lift, the new 06 ls7 spring will be rated at .600" lift but I do not know the color code of that spring.
