I have a 98 Z28 M6. Where is the drain plug on the transmission at? Where is the hole to fill it back up? I can't seem to find it? Thank you

on the side the of the trans theres two square bit plugs...they take a 3/8" drive ratchet...you mightneed an extension....on one side...it says "drain" nere the bottom of the case....the other side near the top it says "Fill" this is where you pour fluid in at... it you need a syphon pump....although depending on you patience it may be easier to ake the shifter out and pour it in from the shifter galley....ATF Dexron III

I was able to get it done yesterday. I was able to find them. I used a cheap pump from auto zone. It worked but it was kinda messy.

I paid $12 for a siphon pump from autozone, but anyone in the future that wants to do this:
Buy a regular funnel and 4-6 feet of plastic/rubber hose that will fit on the end of your funnel, run the hose from the engine compartment down to the fill hole on the driver's side of the trans, and then you can pour the trans fluid in through the funnel.
No matter how you do it use a drain pan under the tranny because you're going to end up with a little fluid spilling out after it fills up. I just use my garbage can lid :slap:

I used Royal Purple in mine and so far so good...not that I'm driving the car much these days, but all is good. I also did the differential with Royal Purple Max gear. So far so good there as well. The additive is in the RP so none is required for their stuff.

if you feel like being less messy...take the shifter off the top of the trans....there are galley ways that will allow all the fluid to flow through just stick a funnel in the trans and pour....make sure you pull the plug marked "FILL" and after about 4 qts you start periodically checking to make sure you havent over filled it..takes about 2 minutes this way versus fighting with it the other way
