I want to change my 4l60e to a non electronic tranny, any suggestions, I am gonna be running a 6.0 built with hopefully alot of HP and TQ. How hard is this and what all do I need?

you can change your 4l60e to a manual valve body, or use an adapter and go to a t350 or 400

There is no advantage to changing to a non-elecrtonic, You should consider getting your E model remanufactued with hardened internals and a 10 inch converter

This is what I need to do...

I already have a very strong th350 in my 82 Trans Am.. I want to swap in the newly released LS346/440 carbureted LS2

Where and what adapter do I need to use this motor with a th350.
I want to keep the 350 primarily as I do not want to have to change my stock shifter and the stock center console to a post 82 overdrive model..

Thanks...!

Check out Yank Racing to see who builds their tranmissions

summit racing sells the adapter, it is made by hughes tranmissions, i have one on my 5.3 s10 with a t350 trans, it works great,

here is the part # hup-hp3795 you can use your factory ls1 style flex plate if you grind out the bolt holes a little bit, this is what i did
