Ok, so no one answered my other question about this type of tranny, but now
I have another puzzling question:

as I drive and coming to a stop, my tranny does not down shift and it seems
as tho direct engine to differential drive and the car starts shaking and then
shuts off.
It's like the converter or something along that line does not drop to neutral
gear .
In other words is like having a standard tranny but without the clutch..a direct
link drive. Imagine trying to stop a car without a clutch.

I'll check this post in about a year to see if someone replied.

it needs a new tcc solenoid, very easy to replace, it is behind the side cover on the trans right behind the drivers wheel

this is what is happening, as you drive and get up to speed the tcc solenoid applies the torque converter clutch, when this is on your automatic acts like a manual trans and the engine has a direct link to the trans, the tcc is supposed to dis-engage when slowing down or applying the brakes, your tcc solenoid is bad and is staying on so when you slow down the converter is staying locked up and it kills the engine when you come to a stop
