would getting new plug wires make any difference in performance opposed to my stockers
which ones are the best bang for the buck and how hard are they to install?

Your stockers should be fine.

Taylor Thundervolt at .5 ohm with Ngk iridium plugs should do the trick.
Consider that the stock are over 300 ohm.
I noticed an immediate smoothness in the motor and no radio noise.
Can' t really say if there were HP gains but certainly felt like it.
The back 3 on the passenger side are about impossible to get too and cost me $100 just to install these 3 after I did the others.
You really need a lift to work on these LS1's.

Well I forgot to mention that I tried.
After several hours and bruised, battered and skin torn knuckles not to mention my arm getting stuck then twisted and contorted in ways I didn't think possible for a human arm .. :fire: :soapbox:
I finally javelin'd my shorty plug wrenche across the street because I didn't need it because I couldn't even get the plug wire off because I couldn't even reach it ..
But I felt great after my temper tantrum .. hee hee :haha:
