yeah , right now i'm just alittle optimistic on what kind of tip set up to run. I kinda like the oval's they have as an option. I'd like to just get a whole mess of photo's for everyone to be able to check out also if their in my situation

who draws the line between euro and not? I have a body kit and I get almost 100% positive feedback from other f-body owners. I don't care for the tail lights either though, but I for one vote yes to individuality, that's why I love my body kit and xenon headlights. Well, everyone loves them pretty mich, lol

sweet lbls1, any sound clips for us?

lbls1
02-13-2006, 09:04 PM
Thanks friend. No unfortunately I don't have any at the moment. Its just the tips though, and not the gmmg chambered. I wanted a mufflered exhaust when I got this one (slp aftermarket d/d) since the car was new at that time.

If I had to do it again, I would probably do a gmmg and headers. Bad-a*ss combination. Peace!

In any event, look for me at the members post section soon!!

BTW: If the mod bug ever comes back, the headers and gmmg just may be the next two things to come!!

Has anybody had any luck, advice or warning against the True-dual systems that are out there for the F-bodies? I'm getting intrigued by them and I'd rather have that system than my stock Flowmaster setup and a cut-out or something...

sorry guys for some reason i'm not getting emails saying people are replying to this lovely thread I have started! lol...

I'm liking what I see. Had a few questions for you experienced guys with exhaust on the 4th gens. Should i get the Y pipe with cats or without? What better?? advantages/diss? I wish the gmmg came in stainless?

ss~zoso~ss
02-16-2006, 04:32 PM
no i did not get rid of that exhaust, its still in my garage, it is just cut at the inlet of the muffler, so it is still good

GMMG is stainless. Y-pipe without cats flows more, but is illegal (at least in California).

crazy3rdgen
02-16-2006, 09:11 PM
think she'll pass inspection with no cats? I doubt it but it would be nice to have some pos Y with cats for when i have to get her inspected. Maybe I'll make one or a shop could for cheaper then buying a Y with cats and a Y without. Do you have one without cats? Is it like EXTREMLY loud or just loud when you get on it. Like on a scale from 0-20 what would you rate it normal driving? 20 being the loudest...What would you rate it at wot? on a scale from 0-20? Like is it obnoxiously loud when driving that you cant have a conversation .. fill me in on the details : )

My Y-pipe has no cats. It will not pass smog. I can always put the stock cats back on. While at cruising speeds, its not very loud at all (10/20). At WOT I'd say its pretty damn loud (20/20).

you know what i really don't know how it is set up yet, the cats have been gutted for emissions, so i'm guessing he just had them deleted. the guy who had the car just paid be people to do all the work to make it fast, and didn't really know all what was done. (he knew but didn't know what it meant.) but had the receips. he had over 13 k in receipes. and i got it for 15,500 with 42k miles. sweet deal but i got it in aug. and have not really got into to it. i drove it for like 2 months then stored it. so this summer or spring i will really get to know it well. it is fast and runns well at the track i just want to try the juice to see what it can really do.:burnout: :yup: thanks jeremy

The valance is SLP, I was really pleased with the fitment of it. I was thinking of getting it molded to the rear bumper and not have any seams.

I noticed under your name you have a 2dr. Tahoe, what a coincidence I have a one two! I lifted it up, its on pg.3 of my car domain link I posted a fww posts back.

If you click on the insert imagehttp://www.ls1.com/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif, you'll have to post a link to picture hosted on the web somewhere.

To post one on your PC, click on the papercliphttp://www.ls1.com/forums/images/editor/attach.gif, then you can browse your computer and upload any picture that meets the space/size guidelines.
