Stock 00 trans am rear end

Ok..I have been driving mustangs for years but a recent test drive in a 00 trans am has made me convert. Anyway, I have been searching high and low on this forum to find out about the rear end on this car. Can someone tell me if a 00 trans am (5.7 LS1) has a posi rear end. I have figured out this much..It does have 3.23 gears.

Short answer, you should have posi, 7.5 inch rear, series 3 carrier.

Yes it has posi....i'm taking it that the TA is a auto since it has 3.23's

Yes it is an auto. It is my first auto sports car. All my stangs were 5 speeds.

PS I tested the tires on the pavement today and yes there are two long black lines in front of my house now. :drivin:
