I have Motive's in mine and so far so good, I think its Richmonnd are the ones you wanna stay away from? Not sure though..
And great choice with the 4.10's you'll like em a lot :)

3.73 recommended for automatic, 4.10 for manual cars...

4.10's in mine and i love them. For some reason it feels like i never installed them and the car drives like it did just like i had the 3.42's. I know its not but the install on them was very professional and i have no issues as far as noise is concerned. Mine are the motive brand and i think they are great. The shop that does the gear changes and they've been around for a very long time and are very reputable said to me that richmonds are very noisy gears. I dont have any personal experience with them but i can easily say its not the first time ive heard that. When you put in gears you have to really consider what your future mods are gonna be down the road, if your just gonna do the regular bolt ons then your more then fine. Its once you start getting into modding up your car with some serious power is when you have a car that hardly has any traction. To me i think for the money gears is one of the best mods you can do.

In general if you are staying near stock power and not adding FI or building a high HP motor with a H/C/I then the above rule of thumb applies.
I would answer the question to the OP as: it all depends on where you are going with the car.
Here is a good read. http://www.circletrack.com/drivetraintech/ctrp_0904_gear_ratio_guide/index.html

Gear whine doesnt bother me. i thought someone was gonna say they use a cheaper grade of metal and they fail easily or something terrible like that.
