I have a 01 WS6 A4. When I accelerate hard on my car there is a random ticking noise in the car. It sounds like a little rock in the transmission. now its only after 4000rpm's and the pedel needs to be floored. car wont make noise when you rev the engine or even at a quick acceleration. only when i mash the peddel down. I dont know..........any ideas????........... ohh i had the rear end leeking a few months back, and I had pontiac replace all the bearings and seals...could it be back there??....I dont know, :suicide:but it sounds like its comming from the drivers side of the engine...hard to tell......let me know what you think. thank you.

could be a bad motor mount and the exhaust is hitting under torque...or a tranny mount and the DS is hitting something

Rocks and ticking sounds. Sounds like detonation. Cheap fuel? do you use 87?
Maybe a cat eliment that broke and is ratling at high exhaust flow rates?
