Any ideas on how someone could electronically check the transmission shift pressure on a TA?

Dont think the pressure switch can be read like a gage. Not sure though

ive been told the ls1 electronicly controls the shift when a the psi hits its goal but i would like to know what the default psi trigger is and how to measure it

the only way ive heard so far is with a mechanical guage .as far as i know the epc sol just controls pressure with variables set by the ecm ,not actually measuring the fluid pressure but estimated with what its supposed to be.to the best of my knowledge the trans is shifted by variables like rpm, throttle position and speed, not necesarily pressure . but like i said this is to the best of my knowledge anyone who knows for sure feel free to enlighten me

Is it possible the ecm could malfunction and keep the trans from shifting into the next gear. If so, would it do it intermittently or continuously?

Ok, here’s the story… old trans wouldn’t shift into 2nd, , it was old so I had a new one put in. A few weeks latter the new trans doesn’t want to shift into 3rd. The trans was inspected and reinstalled and the car shifts fine.

It works fine now?
They found something.
ECM would be constant so doubt that.
something was f-d up in the trans. A bad shift solenoid could have caused that and as part of thier "INSPECTION" they probably swapped the electronics in the trans. Very comon for them to try and reuse the electronics to save some bucks but most of the time they end up being replaced anyway.
They probably reused the electronics and the problem was a bad solenoid all along and they ended up replacing them.
