i have a friend with a b18 crx and i want to run him one last time before he gets his new mods (slicks and nitrous most likely). he has just put in his vtec conrtoller and i really want to run. he calls me on his break and then we go out to a new country road. we line up and just launch on go. i pull on him and get ahead by 1st gear and then shifting into second i chirp pretty hard and i chirp in third also. i blew him away by about 4 cars and kept pulling before i shut down we run one more time but i blew the tires and still won
i'll post back up when we run again to lets you guys know if i need to buy new mods in order to stay ahead of him
im leaning toward drag radials 335/30/18 hoosiers what do you think

hey dude these are the only races ive been able to actually get into since i got used to driving my ws6 before i was used to it i ran a 300 srt8, evo 9 mr and a ws6 ohh yeah should i also mention the mustang with a 100 shot that i beat while i was stock.

He was clearly speaking in past tense, that WAS the swap he WAS gonna do.

LOL seriously. A friend of a friend has a crx and a non-supercharged SS Monte that he swears will beat my T/A. He thought T/A's came with 6-cylinders too so obviously not the brightest crayon in the box.

Probably because the monte beats his CRX. And the CRX is a honda sports car lol

we had a crx sitting in a field for a couple years. me and a buddy got it running and ran the 1/4 in it. with me and him in the car it ran a 22 second at about 60. looked back and nothing but blue smoke was behind us.
Firebirds could come with a v6, a Trans Am model couldnt. Same as you cant get an SS Camaro with a v6.

not really... trans ams didnt come with v6's. it's not too technical, it's fact!
kinda like saying the cobra came with a 2v... because it's still a mustang..

No its not. Its nothing like saying cobra came with a 2v. When people think trans am they think of the car specifically no matter what it looks like. When people say cobra they think of the supercharged roar and the letters cobra on the back. They think of a special mustang. When people think of trans am they dont think anything special. So yeah thats not right but it was a good attempt. You guys just get too technical.

so if i say a 96 cobra came with a 2v i would be correct....? because a 96 cobra is nothing special so it's just a mustang. therefore 96 cobras came with 2v's!

Learn something new everyday. I still maintain that its not technical saying a trans am(except ultra ultra rare ones) only came with a v8. If they were the same then you could buy a trans am for the same price as a base model v6 firebird, no? Its like saying a base model vette is the same as a zr1 vette just doesnt make sense.
