ok this question may be stupid?? but just wondering..

i jacked up my car, both rear wheels are up, i park it into neutral and i spin one tire freely by hand, and according to the books, if it's posi/limited slip, both rear tires should spin in the same direction, however on my ws6 the other tire spins in the opposite direction?? what the heck is going on?! aren't they suppose to spin in the same direction?

You are good. They spin in the opposite direction. One might be an auburn differential and the other a zexel torsion. My auburn spins different directions

Mr. Lee you probablly have a Zexel Torsion posi. Its a worm gear driven posi.
An Auburn should spin in the same direction but a Torsion posi can spin in opposite directions.

I thought the same thing first time I had our T/A in the air. Had to check the books to make sure I wasn't missing something.

No no its not. Its nice til it wears out then your halfway($$$) to a 9" to get it fixed, assuming your mechanic has even seen one and knows how to fix it.
