Are you talking about why you need a panhard at all, or an aftermarket/upgraded panhard?

The panhard bar keeps your rearend centered under the car. Most people get an aftermarket one so its adjustable and they can re-center the rear after lowering.

the geometry of your suspension gets scewd(sp) since a variable has changed

think of it like a equation
stock = 2+2+3=7
then when you lower your car it becomes
2+2.5+3=7
it obviously does work ..but it is truly not right

like preston said the panhard bar re centers your rear ..which it is off slightly from stock..so lowering it will exaggerate the misalignment

yes the car is lowered (eibach sportline and Kybs). Just wondering if a tubular bar will make a noticeable difference in 'feel'. i always read abput how the stock bar is flimsy and weak.

both firebirds ive owned the stock panhard bar bent when cornering you could actualy see the bend in it wen i took it off. when turning hard right you could feel the back of the car kick over. new panhard bar it does not do it anymore
