bubbles in trans. fuild

I just changed trans. fuild and have observed bubbles in trans. fuild dipstick.

I observed that some, not all fuild I poured into the funnel had bubbles is this mysterys of the unknown or did I pour fuild incorrectly creating the bubbles?

should I let it idel w/ the dipstick out so the air can escape, kindoff of like doing a radiator.

You dont have to leave the dipstick out to vent because there is a vent on top of the case. What fluid did you use?

I used castrol dex/mercon.

I think I figured out how the bubbles got into the fuild I have a habit of shaking containers of fuild like juice and such I shook up the fuild.

I removed 7.5 quarts one of those quarts came from the overnight drip, and it was still dripping the following morning.

?. how long should the dipstick be inserted to get an accurate reading if I insert and pull out quick the reading is low if I insert and leave in a moment it reads more.

any tips on checking trans. fuild level is apresheated.

It is very tough on these cars because the stick dose not actually stick out of the filler tube into the pan area. Put it in and hold it for a second and then check it. If it reads on the 80 degree anywere you are good. just make sure you have the car running on leavel ground and warmed up. I tied once to fill it up to the mark that say full hot and I was blowing fluid out the vent at High rpm's Get it in the middle of the warm area and it is full. also watch how much you put back in as a gage.
