View Full Version : Pinion angle for an adjustible TA on a stock height ride?

I know that i need to set the pinion angle to -2 on the adj TA for stock height apps. but how do i know that it's at -2??? Is there away of measureing it or telling???
The TA is a BMR Adj. TA....

i pull the DS and put the protractor on the tailshaft, get the angle, then get set it on the pinion nut and get that angle. do the math and adjust the large nut on the bottom of the torque arm. - the rearend faced down + it faces up.

From the instructions I got with my Spohn T/A you need to measure the angle of the driveshaft, then measure the angle of the pinion. I got my pinion measurement on the bottom pad of the T/A. If I remember correctly you subtract the DS angle from the pinion angle to find the true pinion angle, then adjust accordingly.

people will argue which way is right. i just chose to go about it the way i do because plenty of shops and people on the forums suggested that i do. otherwise id have done it like you did.
