I have a small leak coming from where the third member connects to the case. I was wondering, if that stuff from Autozone (the fluidic gasket repair you pour into the oil) would harm the rear in anyway.
Such a nice rearend deserves being fixed right!

I know I know...
I'd like to try this first, mainly because it is cheaper than wasting the gallon of oil I put in there already.
Will my ghetto fix work?

I do not know! I have heard that stuff works sometimes for the short term, I just would not trust it. Just do not do it very long, that will not work forever if it works at all.

Probably would cause excess wear and cause that bastard to whine

Ok, are all 9" Rear Gaskets the same? Can I just run to Autozone and buy a gasket that goes to a Ford Truck?

I think I'm just going to buy the Set Up Kit from Moser and just put new bearings and seals in whie In have it appart.

It's also leaking from the end of the case by the brakes...what keeps the fluid in down there? The bearings or are there seals down there I should be looking into buying as well?

There are axle seals that you can just press in for pretty cheap im sure. So besides the leaks does yours still whine and vibrate?

There's seals there. The seals should be pressed into the housing iirc. More than likely the backing plate nuts have backed off some or you need to hit the grease fittings at the end of the axle

Nope...Adjustable Torque Arm fixed it.

I need to pull the axles to fix the leak around the housing anyway. I'll be checking and double checking everything before I put it back together.
