I'm just over 39,000 miles. I figure soon I will have to replace spark plugs n wires. Anyone recommend anything. If anyone out there also has those MSD blaster coils, is it worth the money?

For plugs...get ngk tr55's.The wires are so short it doesn't really matter which ones you get...but I put on msd's cause i'm cool like that:) As for the coils, personally I think they're too expensive for the minimal gains...for the same amount you can get some nice headers.

While we're on the subject, how often are you supposed to replace the spark plugs?

I'm gonna go 35k on the iridium plugs I put in...maybe a little longer. A normal plug can do the same but i'd swap in a new set at 25-30k

Running the stock plugs you are supposed to be able to get 100,000 on them. I actually ran mine for 110,000. I didn't notice any gas mileage change before or after I changed them. When I took them out they were not in too bad a shape really for how many miles they had on them. I replaced them with the stock Delco plugs because they did so well. Anyone got any info on what real gain if any something like the ngk would have over the stock delco's?

hi all i changed out those items today.62,000 miles 02 hawk, on the 02 you remove all the coils on their mounting bracket then all the plugs are easy to change on the co-pilot side(ha ha ha) all from the top (dis-connect the battery,i droped the ratchet) it took 5 hrs. mol THEY LOOK GOOD!! i only cruise on sunday but the little test run it felt GOOOOOOOOD!!plus they have a plug for a tuner thats in the development stage as we speak. and the bottom line it's only money!!!!!!!!!:drivin: :drivin: :drivin: :drivin: :drivin: :drivin: :drivin: :drivin: :drivin:
